Dr. Kevin R. Cropper

Dr. Kevin R. Cropper is the Senior Pastor of the Ark of Safety Christian Church. He grew up and attended school in West Philadelphia. After graduating from West Catholic high school he entered into the U.S. Navy. After being honorably discharged from the Navy he began attending the Neupauer Conservatory of Music where he was jazz trained and graduated majoring in bass guitar. In February of 1986, he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He started attending Greater White Rock Baptist Church in 1987 with a desire to learn the word of God and to grow spiritually. In March of 1988, he married his childhood sweetheart, Pastor Brenda Cropper.

In 1990, Pastor Kevin received his ministry calling from the Lord to “go into houses and feed the Lord’s sheep.” In 1992 having finally discerned, confirmed and accepted the call of God, he began attending theological studies and graduated from the Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, now known as Palmer Theological Seminary. He was formally licensed in 1994 at the Greater White Rock Baptist Church and was ordained in November of 1998 by the Ordination Council of the Union Baptist Church in South Philadelphia.

On March 7, 1999, the Ark of Safety Christian Church was founded by Dr. Kevin and Pastor Brenda. The church started in their home with one member along with family and friends who were in attendance. In May of 2007, the doctorate of divinity was bestowed upon Pastor Kevin by the late Dr. Howard O. Jameson who before going home to be with the Lord, served as Dean and Founder of the Jameson School of Ministry and School of Biblical Studies and was a mentor to Pastor Kevin. Under the leading of the Holy Spirit, the Ark of Safety Christian Church joined the Bethel Deliverance International Fellowship of Churches on December 31, 2010.

Dr. Kevin has published his first book entitled; “If You Can Change Your Mind, You Can Change Your Life.”

Dr. Kevin is married to Pastor Brenda Cropper. They have 3 children, Ardell (Desiree), Kaveena and Justin, and 6 grandchildren; Jashanae, Iesha, Kayla, Makenzie, and twins Ayden and Ethan.

Pastor Brenda Cropper

Pastor Brenda Cropper is one of the Pastors and founder of the Ark of Safety Christian Church. She grew up and attended school in West Phila. She then decided to pursue a career in nursing and following her graduation and certification from nursing school she obtained a nursing position at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she was employed for over 25 years.
Pastor Brenda received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and attended the Greater White Rock Baptist Church with her husband Dr. Kevin R. Cropper and their 3 children. She served faithfully on the Greater White Rock Mass Choir where her musical skills were beginning to be developed.
In addition to her career in nursing, Pastor Brenda began theological studies to further her education and knowledge of the word of God. She attended the Deliverance Bible Institute where she graduated having completed her initial biblical studies. She continued to advance her studies by attending and graduating from the Jameson School of Ministry where she was ordained as Reverend and a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

As an anointed woman of God and visionary, Pastor Brenda has a passion for feeding the homeless and clothing those in need. She has a strong burden for strengthening, encouraging, and empowering women to excel and maximize their God-given potential. Pastor Brenda is a woman of prayer and firmly believes in the miracle-working power of God in answered prayer.

On March 7, 1999, the Ark of Safety Christian Church was started in the home of Pastor Brenda and Dr. Kevin. Pastor Brenda oversees various departments within the church and serves as worship leader of the Praise and Worship team.

Pastor Brenda along with Dr. Kevin and the Ark of Safety Christian Church are members of the Bethel Deliverance International Fellowship of Churches under the leadership of Presiding Prelate Bishop Eric A. Lambert, Jr.

Pastor Brenda is married to Dr. Kevin R. Cropper. They have 3 children, Ardell (Desiree), Kaveena, and Justin, and 6 grandchildren, Jashanae, Iesha, Kayla, Makenzie, and twins Ayden and Ethan.
